What is the distance between points (4, −7) and (−5, 9)? Round to the nearest tenth of a unit. units

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Alright so for this question were going to use the distance formula which is \[distance = \sqrt{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2}\]

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

This allows us to determine the distance between the points

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Now lets say that (4,-7) = (x1,y1) and (-5,9) = (x2,y2) and then you just plug each value into the equation i gave above.
