What is the area of the equilateral triangle? Round to the nearest square centimeter. http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1579000_1579500/1579374/1/2d11bb360066673f6944e7b48c887fd772b22a4f/MS_IMC-150126-130913.jpg

|dw:1433337135546:dw| use the pyathagorean to solve for the missing side which will become your height in the area equation later

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area = \[\sqrt{3}/4(a^2)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

27.71 is it but you can round so =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use sinus 60 degrees to find the area. All the sides are the same! So 8 multiplied by 8 then multiplied by sinus (60) then divide by 2 =27.71281292

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so basically when its rounded it would be 28 or?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause it only lets me put in 3 numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

somethin like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why? xD Just write 28

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ok i was gonna do that xD
