HELP! I started the problem but then I don't understand what the 2 month penalty would be I'm lost please help Your parents are renting an apartment for you when you go away to college. An annual contract is $582.00/month with a 2-month penalty if you break the lease. The month-to-month contract is $615.00/month. How much is the difference in payments if you stay the whole year?
@superman36 can you help? do you know this
yea i help u
its either that if you break the lease, you have to either pay the lease up in full + 2 extra months, or you have to pay for the next 2 months regardless. thats my take on it but it doesnt seem relevant
yeah but if the lease is broken how much do you have to pay? @amistre64
the lease isnt broken, you stay there a year
how much "... if you stay the whole year"
in the next problem it gets broken
if you break the 2 months then u would have to pay less then wht you payed befroe
well, you did not post the 'next problem' :) as for that, i dont know lease laws
Using the information from #15, you leave after 6 months. How much is the difference in the amount paid between the two contracts? @amistre64
but how do you find how much you would have to pay if it is broken @superman36
as an guess, I think the penalty means you have to pay an extra 2 months for breaking the lease.
if you break it after 6 months, you still have to pay for the next 2 months
yes I know that but I'm saying how do I find that number that's where I'm stuck at
you know what a monthly payment is, and you know that you have to pay it for 2 extra months ...
assuming my reading of it is valid .. you only have to pay for an extra 2 months
6 months of payments, plus 2 months of payments, is how much?
You need to either add or subtract but you might need to subtract.@lexnorris4
I think I get it
