can someone please explain what a collaboration is on FLVS and do i need to partner with someone just to do the work together?
A collaboration is basically a project you do with a partner that has the same school as you.
Not always fom the same school @Agl202 its a group of people that come in from the same subject (Sometimes) and work together in groups of 2 or 6. I know this b.c i took 3classes on FLVS
I guess, Whatever u say! I had done these too. They weren't to bad
@sleepyjess probably knows :P
They are about 1hour long and they teach first then do work.
But its fast and you have to work with your group and make sure you pay attention in the lesson b.c sometimes its stuff you learn from there.
All of mine you had to find someone in your class to do it with
Yea you can do it with a partner or if you dont know people then just do it with a random person.
And make sure you come 10mins early b.c it fills quick in famous subjects.
@compassionate uset to FLVS and knows lots about their stuff, but I think you have gotten some good answers already.
but like what do we do in them?
like, we work together when we do the work?
When a collaboration comes up, I just go to the live lesson. Much more easier
You don't have to sit and wait for other classmates to accept your collaboration requests. You can just attend the live lesson and you are good to go.
that's what i have always done.
I've only ever had live lessons for English ._.
In collaboration, just go to live lessons and choose which lesson you want to do. It will tell you what time and day you can do it. It's basically a group of students who attend live lessons and you'tr instructor tells you basics of the lesson and then you work together to solve problems. At the end, the instructor sends you the collab sheet and pdf file. you complete the sheet and send the sheet and pdf file to get credit.
Hi, There are two choices for online collaborations. Every segment you are required to do AT LEAST one collaborative assessment. However, in addition to the collaborative, you have i. An Independent Option Now, with the collaborative, you can do it with a student, your teacher, a friend or a parent. However, if you do not have anyone to collaborate with, you may choose the Independent option. You will be asked, in one assignment, to tell your teacher what option you've chosen for the end-of-module Collaborative Assignment. Let her know you either want to do the Independent or Collaborative. Thank you
