well i think it could be part of a Forensic drug chemistry is simply chemistry as it is applied to the identification of illegal substances within the criminal justice system. Like all other chemistry disciplines, it examines the way the atoms and molecules in matter interact and bond with each other. All matter has a chemical signature, or set of characteristics that are unique to only that substance. Chemists use these characteristics to identify substances using scientific methods that can be replicated by other chemists and thus are presentable as fact in court. Forensic chemistry covers illegal drugs, explosives and poisons.
