What does a journal written by frontier settlers most likely tell you about Manifest Destiny?

Manifest Destiny is really just how people felt about expanding westward (which was mostly positive). I'm guessing that journals written by frontier settlers would be talking about how they were meant, or destined, to be crossing the country. People then felt it was their duty, or obligation, to be apart of expanding the United States. So that being said it wasn't an easy task though, they had to cross extremely difficult terrain in very harsh conditions. So they would most likely talk about the difficulty in getting to their destination but also how they were doing what they had to do to fulfill their part in the United States' "destiny." Hopefully that helped a little.
