Giving answers can get people in a lot of trouble here on OpenStudy, just as @EclipsedStar here has said. So why get in trouble? Eclipsed isn't spamming, she's just doing her job here. She wants to make sure that everyone is following the rules.

Besides, in order to be successful in life, you need to have KNOWLEDGE. and you do not acquire knowledge through answers. By reading a bit more into your textbook, or having somebody here help you with a few reminders, you gain knowledge. That is what we're here for, on OpenStudy. We want you to succeed!

Finally, warning not to give direct answers is NOT spam. Since it's related to following the rules, it is therefore not spam. It isn't spam because it reinforces the rules of open study. So kindly take our advice, and be grateful that it was us that warned you instead of a moderator :)
