Homozygous recessive individuals selectively leaving a population is an example of: a) Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. b) natural selection. c) nonrandom mating. d) differential migration. e) the bottleneck effect. So far throughout my class, I have not heard anything about a "bottleneck effect", so I am assuming that E is not correct. The Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium deals with allele frequencies, therefore it is unlikely that A is the right answer. Nonrandom mating has nothing to do with the question so I don't think it's C, either. I am caught between B and D.

I thought so too, but I wasn't sure about what differential migration was so I wanted to check and make sure. Thank you.
