What are three (3) similarities between gills and lungs? (Will medal/fan)
@Trojan @dan815 @Luigi0210 Please help if you can!
What do you think are three similarities?
I know one is that they are both respiratory organs
The first link doesn't work! o:
Actually... None of them are working. ._. @Trojan
Hmmmm.
Yeah, they all said something like 404 error or server error.
@whpalmer4 @Data_LG2 @confluxepic Help pleae?
Okay, this one works for me, hopefully it'll work for you. http://www2.estrellamountain.edu/faculty/farabee/biobk/biobookrespsys.html
This also works, not sure what was wrong earlier. http://www.mrothery.co.uk/exchange/exchange.htm
Okay, thanks. I'll check it out. I hope I can easily find two more similarities. :)
>-< This is hard. :c
Could you give me a hint please? :c
One of the similarities of lungs and gills is that both are used for breathing in and out. Only that gills are found in fishes and young amphibians and lungs are found in birds, mammals, reptiles and adult amphibians. @ayeeeitskateee
I already have "they are both respiratory organs", which is the same thing but only in different words. Do you know any more @barreraA ? It'd be a big help! I only have this and 2 more questions to do and I'm stumped. lol
@whpalmer4 Can you help?
ok i ll see what i can do @ayeeeitskateee
Okay, thanks so much.
in both cases, oxygen is diffused across a membrane into the circulation, and carbon dioxide diffuses into the ambient liquid or bass
both gills and lungs have rather elaborate structure to increase the available surface area while still being relatively compact
Thank you!!!
