hi welcome to openstudy @dboy28 ! :) " how many hours will the two cars be at the \(\sf \color{red}{same}\) distance " since y is represents the distance of those two cars and the question is asking for the time when the cars are at the same value of y, we can set the equation equal. It will look like this: car A = car B 55x + 32 = 42x + 58 now, you have to calculate for the value of 'x' by collecting like terms and simplifying it, can you do that?
