I just had to mention the one thing i completely hate on OpenStudy is when people answer your question by saying .............................SORRY I DON'T KNOW !!!!!

most of the time no . It is usually on someones own free will witch is the most frustrating

That is annoying, if they weren't tagged then they don't need to say that. They can just leave it and wait for someone who knows to answer it. If you tagged them, then it is more acceptable because they think you can help but you are just telling them you can't.

Not much you can do about that...but they kind of are spamming if they just randomly come, reply that, and go...

On the other hand, people have complained that people look at their post but never reply, so something like "Sorry that I can't help" is comforting to some people that their question is at least not being ignored

The only times I say 'Sorry, I can't help.' when they tag me and can't help, and I tag other users. Another time is if the user isn't getting any help in a while I'll say 'Sorry, I can't help you, but maybe @blahblahuser and @halbhalbuser can help'

I dont like it when you are trying to get someone to focus on a solution by asking them a probing question, and all they can muster is: 'idk'

but yeah, if a person cannot add something of value to a study session, then all they are doing is spamming the post.

oooh. I am soooo sorry for you. *smh*. Someone gives you attention, takes the time to answer, and instead of saying, "hey human, thanks for spending a teeny bit of time with me." you get ANNOYED? Here is the right thing to do. "hey no problem, do you know who I could ask? " or "thanks for checking in. But what do you think I should do next to get help?" Or "hey how was your day so far? Are you suffering through geometry as well?"
Just a thought.

People like to say: "I \(\bf think\) it's A.

They basically gave a wrong answer. They weren't sure themselves, yet they attempted to reply in hopes of getting an easy medal.

What I honestly find annoying is when people tag me in a post multiple times. I come to the post, and they tag me in each reply and I'm still on their post not like I left. And then other times, they just keep tagging me until I come.

I've noticed these, it is considered a spam.
And sometimes people say "I think it might b B but not sure, maybe I'm 75% sure." They sometimes calculated it in their heads but it's been a while and their mind isn't completely there. So sometimes they're right, sometimes not.

I will not say why some people do this, but it can be a bit frustrating. Just be friendly and say, "Do you know someone who can help?" If they don't know then move along, but If they do then kindly say thank you. If they just go in your post saying.....IDK, then just ignore them.
