Which is a counterexample that disproves the following statement? If a line has a y-intercept of 0, then it has a negative slope. (Points : 4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has no slope because it is horizontal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) y= -2x b) y= 2x c) y= 2x+1 d) y= 2x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one has a y-intercept of 0, but not a negative slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I misread, I thought you meant the equation was y=0. Well the standard formula for a line is y=mx+b which of those letters tells you the y intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct
