French Past Participles? (If this is even the right section >.>) I just want someone to check a few of my answers to make sure I'm doing it right (I really don't think I am). We are given questions and then asked to answer in French using the correct past participle: Est-ce que tu as étudié la leçon hier? -Oui, je étudié. Est-ce que tu as pris les livres ce matin? -Oui, je prenais les livres. Est-ce que Pauline a perdu sa raquette? -Pauline a perdue sa raquette.
1. Did* 2. Did* 3. Has* Need little more than that or are you good?
I got it, thanks -w-
You have not understood what the question is about. It is not only about past participle, but also about object pronoun. What you have to do is to keep the verb as it is (passé composé), but you have to replace the object by a pronoun. Eg: Est-ce que tu as pris ton repas ? Oui, je l'ai pris. l' replaces ton repas in the answer. Est-ce que tu as vu leurs photos ? Oui, je les ai vues. les replaces leurs photos. Concerning the past participle, you need to make it agree with the object if the object is feminine and/or plural. je l'ai vu (le film) je l'ai vue (la maison) je les ai vus (les films) je les ai vues (les maisons)
