"She is the teacher whom I assisted." Should the whom be who? Or is the sentence correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whom is used when you could use him or her. Use who for he or she. So, in that sentence, would you need to use him/her or he/she. It needs to be rewritten to "The teacher I assisted was ..." Or "I assisted...."

So whom is correct then! Thank you so much :)

No problem.
