Earlier I stumbled by a post in "Music" saying that the Oxford Comma is worthless, so click here to see what the Oxford Comma is and why it is valuable in text.
The Oxford comma optionally situates itself behind the word "and". I believe it is important in order to have a complete understanding of someones sentence.
Here are two sentences that I will use as an example to show what the meaning behind it without the Oxford comma, and what the meaning of it is with the Oxford comma. -without- Today I have decided to walk on the beach with my parents, Jaime and Randy. - This sentence is saying that your parents names are "Jaime" and "Randy". - -Oxford comma- Today I have decided to walk on the beach with my parents, Jaime, and Randy. - This sentence is telling you that you walked with not only with your parents, but also with two people named Jaime and Randy.- I hope this helped you understand a little bit more on how to not only use the Oxford comma, but what difference it makes.
