He was a very intelligent man who lost his sanity from constantly reading books about chivalry. Causing chaos where ever he goes because he could not distinguish reality from his books.
I would say he is a dreamer.

It does seem as though he is a dreamer although I thought he might be a scholar due to his constant reading, but I guess only reading does not make you a scholar. @Afrodiddle
