For the polynomial f(x) =-2x^3 - 2x^2 + 7x - 25 as x -> negitive infinity, f(x) -> infinity? Is it true or false?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

intuitively i would say yes because the largest term is -2x^3 and for high negative values of x we get a very high positive value of -2x^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great!! Thank you for your help!!!

OpenStudy (welshfella):

-2x^3 has the highest degree of x

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes - it is correct - I've just graphed it on my calculator
