how to I select the ordered pair that is the solution of this equation: -7x – 4y = 6

With only the information given, there are infinitely many solutions. The equation given is a line, and a line has infinitely many points. One particular solution can be found just on inspection. If you were to pick x = 0, you could solve for y and get the value -3/2, giving an ordered pair solution of (0, -3/2). Perhaps there is information missing, or is that everything that was given?
