|dw:1433636668513:dw| Basically, what we can do is extend the line that is on the top of the small cube all the way across and form an imaginary triangle. The base of that triangle is the length of the two cubes placed side by side, 12 + 5 = 17. The height of the triangle is found by finding the difference in the heights of the two cubes, so 12 - 5 = 7. Thus we have a right triangle with legs of 7 and 17. So from there we can just use pythagorean theorem to get the length of the hypotenuse, which would be AB
