I'm totally stumped on this. I don't know if I'm having a brain fart, or if there's a mistake. The question asks for the value of x, even though the value is z, so? Thanks for any help. (Problem screenshot in next post)

Yeah they probably meant z. Anyways, add up the exterior angles. Set that result equal to 360 and solve for z

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Rule: With any polygon, the exterior angles always add to 360 degrees

I did that, but my answer (121) isn't a choice. The choices are A) 41 B) 86 C) 301 D) 59

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I'm getting z = 121 as well If they really want x, then it's impossible to answer because x is literally hidden or missing. Maybe they meant "find x" literally? Ok I'm kidding lol. You'll have to ask your teacher about this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one! XD

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I noticed how 180 - z = 180 - 121 = 59 so maybe they meant to put x as the interior angle next to angle z? But who knows really

Hm. Guess I'm just ask my teacher. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
