Suggestion!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OS should be able to have more than one question open in the same subject at 1 time . It is so frustrating when i want something to stay up ,but have to delete it when asking another question !

pooja195 (pooja195):

1) It would make it easier for people to cheat on tests 2) It leads to spam and sometimes medal spamming too 3) It puts a disadvantage to other users. Because a person will be asking a question and keep asking different questions and the other users questions get bumped down.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is true . I wish there was a way to stop spamming. That is always the #1 problem with suggestions.. UGHHH

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

I actually like this idea. Maybe anything after 1 or 2 questions would have to be approved by a moderator?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Well the purpose of posting questions is to learn...and if one individual is getting help on multiple things, the user won't learn as efficiently if their concentration is spread out.

pooja195 (pooja195):

People will still post without asking for mods permission the excuse would be "i forgot"

Nnesha (nnesha):

4th) they can't foci(focus :P) on one post for example if you post two question in math section 2 different people will help you on 2 different posts and they wll have to wait for ur reply and that's how it' will take too long .........

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

No, like a request would be sent to the mods, not the user DM-ing them

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Kinda like the QH notification?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean for instance I posted a Happy cancer survivors day post. I didnt want to delete it Then i had a question about this so i had to delete it . Even in os feedback

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Well you already have the ability to let posts stand open on different subjects. If I were to ask two separate questions on math...I don't know about you guys but I certainly won't absorb information as efficiently.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not like os feedback is about education? it is but not like math or english

Nnesha (nnesha):

mods are busy ;-) so..

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Not really, it's a section for suggestions, mostly. Congrats posts, birthdays, etc.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Or maybe it could be only for OS feedback :)

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

That may take some tweaking xD

Nnesha (nnesha):

you can ask more thane one question in math section shhhh(secret) :P there are 10+ subtopics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nnesha LOL

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

SubTopics are indeed a way, because it covers different topics but is still generalized. xD

Nnesha (nnesha):

yeah that's why i said hard to foci on one post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL I sometimes forget what post is open, but ya know it will eventually get closed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Additional idea that is related to this and will benefit Openstudy financially >:) For every additional question, it should worth at least 5 Owlbucks (or somewhere around that amount). I'm sure that spammers don't want to waste their money on posting spam questions. This is just a thought.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pooja is exactly right. It has to many downsides.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Hi, Currently if you want to post multiple questions without wanting to "close" them, not "delete" them, then you can get the iOS app for OpenStudy. With the app, you can post as many questions without closing. However, doing so clutters up the Open Questions area and people get annoyed. Also it gets harder to find them and close them. Everyone has brought up good points from how you can not concentrate on multiple posts to how people will cheat faster. I have seen users asking multiple questions in one subject to get their work done because they believe this site is only meant for answers and not to be guided to the answer. Also, for example, in the Mathematics section there are many sub-topics. You can have an open question in each sub-topic and posting in the sub-topic ensures that it gets noticed in the main Mathematics subject. However, posting in the wrong sub-topic to make more posts is considered spam and can be closed or deleted and the user account may face disciplinary actions. As for having that feature in the OpenStudy Feedback, I would agree. I also suggested this in the past, but the only get around to it is using the app. Thanks for your valuable suggestion! :)

Nnesha (nnesha):

>.<

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

They was one of the things the OS admins changed early on. See, OS is a TUTORING site for homework questions. As such, they decided that asking lots of questions all at once was not appropriate.
