@aryandecoolest .. can u explain how to solve this question . see attachment

OpenStudy (aminamoazzam):

this is the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for part B i think every information is given, we need to substitute in formula of vol. of cylinder= \[\Pi r^2h\] r=0.2m and h=500m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's actually for part e....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a) ARea of trapezium= sum of parallel sides*height/2 so, 2.5*0.7/2= 0.875 m^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(b) volume of trapezium= area*length so, vol = (h/2)(a+b)*length = area*500= 0.875*500----->437.5 m^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(c) 1m^3=4.8 tonnes then 437.5m^3---->? =437.5*4.8 tonnes

OpenStudy (aminamoazzam):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pleasure.... nd anytime :) @aminamoazzam
