why is photosynthesis considered an endothermic reaction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is because energy is being absorbed and in endothermic reactions energy has to be absorbed/ needed to carry out the reaction. Since energy is needed in order for photosynthesis to occur, it is considered endothermic.

It is because energy is being taken in and more bonds are breaking than being made...so it's an endothermic process
