Simplify. –7 + 2(x – 3) A. x – 10 B. x – 13 C. 2x – 10 D. 2x – 13
@Nnesha
Distribute the number in front of the parentheses to the other numbers is them
\[\huge~ 2(x – 3) \]
So, what do I do with them -7?
that comes later distribute for now
What do you get after distributing ?
x-5?
(x-6)
2x-6 we are distributing 2 to all the numbers 2 * x 2*-3
AH okay.
\[\huge~–7 +2x-6\] now combine like terms -7-6=?
2x-13
Yep :)
Thanks so much :)
No problem! :)
