someone help

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

well, using estimation I could round down each number 4 2/5 rounds down to 4 3 1/2 rounds down to 3 2 3/10 rounds down to 2 4+3+2 = 9, but since we rounded down a bit we know that the answer MUST be greater than 9 it looks like all the fractions add up to about 1 (using my calculator I get 6/5) so, 9 + 6/5 is closest to which of the answer choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a @Vocaloid

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

no, please try again... 9 + 6/5 is closest to which of the choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

great, but do you understand why A is wrong? I want to make sure you aren't just guessing...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so b and yeah!

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

then please explain why A is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well since we got 9 its not a because there is nothing that is alomst the same as 9

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

great good job ~
