Multiply. Write the result in scientific notation. (1.4 times 10^1)(8 times 10^4) A. 9.4 times 10^4 B. 9.4 times 10^5 C. 1.12 times 10^5 D. 1.12 times 10^6 (2.2 times 10^-3)(4 times 10^-2) A. 2.2 times 10^6 B. 2.2 times 10^-5 C. 8.8 times 10^6 D. 8.8 times 10^-5
@surjithayer I saw you were looking around in Pre Algebra, please help me...
@Aureyliant please help... I'm totally stuck here...
whats your question
i bet your smart
I sincerely apologize but I'm not the best person to ask for Scientific Notation… Perhaps @jabez177 @Nnesha or @AlicaIsCray could help?
i could help though
Multiply. Write the result in scientific notation. (1.4 times 10^1)(8 times 10^4) A. 9.4 times 10^4 B. 9.4 times 10^5 C. 1.12 times 10^5 D. 1.12 times 10^6 (2.2 times 10^-3)(4 times 10^-2) A. 2.2 times 10^6 B. 2.2 times 10^-5 C. 8.8 times 10^6 D. 8.8 times 10^-5
Those are my questions.
(1.4 times 10^1)(8 times 10^4) (1.4) x 10^1)(8.0 x 10^4)
What now?
That doesn't help me...
@Aureyliant, you forgot your commas in between those tags. :P
Mmk Im pretty sure its addition pretty much so you'd do: 1.4 x 8.0 10^1 + 10^4
So, using the exponent rule, would that be 10^-3?
I would believe it would be 10^5 And 1.4 + 8.0 = 9.4 So your answer would be: (9.4 x 10^5)
So the first question would be A?
B*
Yup can you do the other one by yourself m8?
I'm pretty sure I can. Thanks you guys :-)
Any time dawg
d
is correct
Oh man hes right... I did it wrong lol I was supposed to multiply 1.4 x 8 = 112.0 112.0 x 10^6
My bad hold up: 1.12 x 10^5
So wait its C
Ok... seeing this now, I don't think I can do that next question...
i can
Please help me. I'm REALLY bad at math...
ok
(2.2 times 10^-3)(4 times 10^-2) A. 2.2 times 10^6 B. 2.2 times 10^-5 C. 8.8 times 10^6 D. 8.8 times 10^-5
i could become your fan to
d
How...?
I want to understand how you got that answer...
i have a computer calculator
Oh... ok then, thanks
i became a fan
of you
anyone needs help
