You are going to factor the polynomial 4x2 - 10x + 6 first you examine the expression and you should come to several conclusions. 1. You should note that the middle term -10x has a negative sign and the right most term (6) is positive. Conclusion it is going to look something like this:|dw:1433804679102:dw| 2. You should note that the first term (4x^2) can have two sets of factors 2x and 2x is one set and then 4x and x is another. Conclusion one set will be correct. 3. The last term 6 also has two sets of factors, 2 and 3 and 1 and 6. Conclusion one set is correct. 4. there will be a combination that when multiplied will give you 4x^2 -10x + 6.
