What is the circumference of a circle with a radius of 0.8 m? A. m B. m C. m D. m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will give you a medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

looks like m is the only choice....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the formula for the circumference of a circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a.0.64 tt m b.0.8 tt m c.1.6 tt m d 2.56 tt m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what i think is 1.6 tt m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why do you think that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

becuse i multiply 0.8*2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is not the way to find the circumference. you can use: \[C=2\pi r\] and see what you get...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get 5 ..., are you sure those are the options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why does they say tt m ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats how they look

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, i know what is happening, that "tt" looks pretty much like the letter pi: \[\pi\] so the answers are given as a number times pi so the answer is: \[1.6\pi\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you
