Supplementary angles are angles that add to 180. So \[40+4x+20=180\] Combine like terms \[60+4x=180\] Subtract the 60 \[4x=120\] Divide by 4 \[x=30\]

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

So D right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, since we're looking for the value of x.
