The new level of global communication provided by Facebook, Tumblr, and other social networking sites on the internet allows us to be exposed to other cultures, something that can shape our outlook on life, political issues, and sociological happenings. Communication, face to face, can help us learn how others are feeling and how to deal with that, which is a quality that allows us to be more empathetic and sympathetic in our lives. Communication in all forms allows us to learn more about the world and see life from other perspectives, and allows us to develop a more worldly view.
