WILL GIVE MEDAL! Find the mean, median, mode, and range, of each data set after you perform the given operation on each data value. 14, 7, 34, 29, 14, 6; multiply by 6

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

When it says multiply by 6 do I multiply all the numbers in the data set by six?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Handsomechickenlover It says each value, so I believe so.

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

This might take a while for me to work it all out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Handsomechickenlover that fine it would men a lot of you could help. ill give you a medal also

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

I'll soon have the answers

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

median is 84

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

mean is 104

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

mode is 84

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

and range is 168

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

by multipying the numbers in the set by six this is the new data set that I got: 36, 42, 84, 84, 174, 204

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Handsomechickenlover Thanks so much! could you help me with one more? 13, 17, 15, 18, 21, 13, 20; add 3.7

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

OK I will help some more! to me this is easy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Handsomechickenlover this is the last one

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

Ok

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

Im working on it.

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

The mean is 20.41, The median is 20.7, the mode is 16.7, the range is 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Handsomechickenlover Thanks!! so what would the new data set be. how could I find it?

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

OK. Here's the first data set you put in. I put them in order from least to greatest. 13, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21. I added 3.7 to each of them and got this new data set: 16.7, 16.7, 18.7, 20.7, 21.7, 23.7, and 24.7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Handsomechickenlover ok I see how you got the new data set thanks so much! (:

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

Your welcome :).

OpenStudy (handsomechickenlover):

I was glad to help.
