Please help!!!!!! i don't really understand The probability that an event will occur is fraction 1 over 8. Which of these best describes the likelihood of the event occurring? likely certain unlikely impossible

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

is it \[\frac{1}{8}\]?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah in the question its 1/8

OpenStudy (misty1212):

ok

OpenStudy (misty1212):

it if was "certain" then the probability would be 1, so not that one

OpenStudy (misty1212):

if it was "impossible" then it would be 0, so not that one either

OpenStudy (misty1212):

between likely and unlikely, it happens one-eighth of the time, so i guess you should go with "unlikely" as it is less than one - half

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you so much that helped alot
