The Gulf of Mexico provides 72 percent of the shrimp harvested in U.S. waters. Those populations are at risk because of the dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico. Which statement best describes this dead zone? It is a zone of ocean water that has almost no oxygen. It is a zone of ocean water that has almost no carbon dioxide. It is a zone that formed when it lost its keystone species. It is a zone that's been depleted by sea urchins.
@kalahkid
A. It is a zone of ocean water that has almost no oxygen.
Since there is a large number of shrimp there and all living things respire what do you think will happen (respiration entails carbon dioxide and oxygen)
Message me if you have anymore questions. >.<
Living things take in oxygen and give off carbon dioxide. This means there will be a large amount of carbon dioxide so B is out....The shrimp need alot of oxygen meaning there will be little or no oxygen
