This stuff is basic things taught in elementary school...

We have to simplify parentheses first from left to right. Then we move on to exponenets from left to right. And then multiplication and division from left to right. And finally addition and subtraction from right to left.
If it doesn't have one of them, then we skip that step and move on.

You can start with finding the absolute value |-8| which is 8. Than add -3 to 8. After that divide 12/3. Than multiply what you got.
