What is the solution to the equation http://static.k12.com/bank_packages/files/media/mathml_5d691dfadf7468d726f272cfdbd9060f09c2247b_1.gif x = ? please help

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

1/3 (9x - 6) = 2x + 3 --- distribute through the parenthesis 3x - 2 = 2x + 3 -- subtract 2x from both sides 3x - 2x - 2 = 3 -- add 2 to both sides 3x - 2x = 3 + 2 -- combine like terms x = 5 check. 1/3(9(5) - 6) = 2(5) + 3 1/3( 45 - 6) = 10 + 3 1/3 (39) = 13 13 = 13 (correct) so x = 5 questions ?
