Connotative definition for snake?
Anyone know:?
I can help, but first: Do you know what connotative means?
Connotative: signifying or suggestive of an associative or secondary meaning in addition to the primary meaning
Right, or to put it in simpler words, it's the meaning that people attach to it rather than its literal meaning. Now, the literal definition of a snake is that slithery reptile. But, the connotative definition of a snake has more emotional ties to it. What do you think of connotatively when you think of someone who is a snake?
A sly secretive person
one who is untrustworthy or presents an unseen danger
Right, so that would be some examples of the connotative definition for snake.
*those
Oh thank u
A possible definition could be this: Snake: A person who is sly, secretive, and/or untrustworthy.
You could also add liar into that as well.
