Alright, assuming you mean 16 pi square inches for part A, yes that is correct. (Trick is diameter = 8 inches, so radius is half of that). For the next part...

for the second i got 36 pi

And, looks good on the second part. We know the radius of the picture is 4 inches, a 2 inch border gives us a total radius of 6 inches... squaring gives 36, so I'd say yes, you got it! Congrats!
