so a cube has all equal sides and volume is equal to s^3 or side*side*side in this case 1/2*1/2*1/2. There are two cubes so you would multiply that by two creating 2*1/2*1/2*1/2

Oregon do you know how to multiply fractions? alternatively you can multiply .5 *.5*.5 if you want and reconvert back into a fraction.
