@brandonford7 @gknight @LegendarySadist @Sachintha @OregonDuck

oregonduck (oregonduck):

what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got noooo idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gimme a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you could always do with these are just plug in the values of x in to the equation a check with these one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its not

OpenStudy (sachintha):

not a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just used a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has to be a single number with this

oregonduck (oregonduck):

yes it is c actually

OpenStudy (sachintha):

Take 45 to the right hand side, divide by 5 and get the square root of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uggggh im torn

OpenStudy (sachintha):

Try to solve it without the use of calculators.

oregonduck (oregonduck):

dang it so close i need 1 more medal

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

there you go

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

one medal

oregonduck (oregonduck):

YAY thxs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is the working they showed me 5x^2 - 45 = 0 1. divide by 5 5(x^2 - 9) = 0 2. It's easy to factor the x^ - 9 polynomial! x^2- 9 = (x+3)(x-3) you can check this with FOIL if you want, but I promise it's right! So, the answer is: 5(x+3)(x-3)=0 x = 3, -3

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

but after you take the square root of both sides, doesn't that give you plus/minus root(9)?

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

yr welcome

OpenStudy (sachintha):

Yeap. So now you got the answer. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys

oregonduck (oregonduck):

i have a title now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lemme look at the post to see who gets the medal

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

i dont see the title

oregonduck (oregonduck):

refresh your page

OpenStudy (anonymous):
