b. Magnesium
c. Chlorine

wait, would i just do this: I know that the 1st layer can have 2 electrons , while the 2nd layer can hold 8 and the third layer can withstand 18. Would I draw a circle (nucleus) and have rings around it with the number of electrons orbiting the nucleus?
