Please help, I will medal and fan Describe the electron arrangement for each of the following elements. You can draw the arrangement or list the number of electrons in each energy level. a. Oxygen b. Magnesium c. Chlorine

I am aware that this is not biology; however science and physics are ghost towns.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oxygen has 8 electrons Magnesium has 12 electron Chlorine has 17 electrons Know how to draw them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, no I do not. I know what it looks like, i mean the cloud and such, but I need help understanding what I should actually draw... @kalahkid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An atom has a certain number of shells based on the amount of elctrons it has.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not the best explainer so please bear with me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I am gracious for any help, so I am listening..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the sub- atomic particles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, would i just do this: I know that the 1st layer can have 2 electrons , while the 2nd layer can hold 8 and the third layer can withstand 18. Would I draw a circle (nucleus) and have rings around it with the number of electrons orbiting the nucleus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So Oxygen.....
