help! give 25x^2-10x=0 which values of x will satisfy the equation? (Hint: Factor the polynomial into two terms, and find the values of x that will make each term 0.) A. x=0 and x=5/2 B. x=0 and x=2/5 C. x=0 and x=2 D. x=0 and x=5

Factor out the x then solve for both equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried that but am still confuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you tried that what did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

diffrent answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you factor the problem or not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 5x (5x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A is the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Close...the factoring is correct..so you now have two equations 5x= 0 and 5x-2 = 0...now solve for x for both equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the part am stuck in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could also just plug in each option and see if you get zero i do recommend a calculator
