Anyone know of some good fitness books? I found a book on Calisthenic Muscle Growth but i want to find some other options. Just fitness things regarding loosing weight, and gaining muscle.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

DK Publishing makes a book, Strength Training: http://www.amazon.com/Strength-Training-Step---Step-Publishing/dp/0756654475 I brought a copy of this book to a professor with a PhD in Kiniseology (the study of muscles and joints) that also does muscle and fitness research at a hospital. She was very impressed with the information accuracy, layout, etc. It also have some very practical advice on nutrition and related items. Many people try to push you to get high protein, etc. But according to science, your protein intake is limited and more just becomes fat. Also, when building muscles you only have a small percentage increase in protein use, not 2x to 3x use. This book follow those sorts of sound, scientific principals in the information it presents. And you will see the wonderful pictures they use if you look at the online preview. It very clearly expresses what muscles are worked out by which exercises.
