OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to find the slopes first?

OpenStudy (flvskidd):

The slope formula right? And then I just don't understand how I would prove that perpendicular lines have opposite and reciprocal slopes. Basically, what qualities make a slope opposite and reciprocal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, y2-y1/x2-x2 opposite is just different signs ex 2 and -2 reciprocal is that number under 1 so like 4 and 1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as long as both have different signs and one is a reciprocal of the other, they are perp

OpenStudy (flvskidd):

So in this example FE = -4/-5 and CB = -3/-4 Are they perpendicular or...
