Graph each function in radians and describe the domain and range of each function. 1. f(x) = sin(x) – 5 2. f(x) = 2cos(x) 3. f(x) = cos(x - 45°) 4. f(x) = tan(x) – 3 5. f(x) = - 3sin(x)
do you know what a graph of sin(x) looks like?
nope
1. The domain is all the values of x that define f(x) (or do not make f(x) undefined). Thus, the domain is all real values. Since we know, -1 <= sin(x) <= 1, -6 <= [sin(x)-5] <= -4 Thus the range of f(x) is [-6, -4]. :)
similarly, 2. Domain: There are no values of x for which f(x) is not defined so (-infinity,infinity). Range : The cosine function travels between [-1,1] so multiplying by the constant, [-2,2] is the range.
similarly try for rest of them @neelamali20
What about the graph? How do I graph this in radians? That is what I am confused about.
