Predicting: What do you think causes the phases of the moon? Think about where you are standing on Earth. Where are the Sun and Moon in relation to Earth. i think what causes the phases of the moon are the seasons that happen such as spring summer etc. :)

well the phases are caused by the sun in relation to where the moon is around the earth where we are on earth is what phase we see

I would say the phases of the moon can be caused by the reflection of the sun. The suns light could be reflected onto the moon, and because of rotation/gravity, it causes the different phases of the moon.
