OpenStudy (faf3):

x^2 +y^2+4x-2y-20 I have to graph this circle, but how do i find the midpoint?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That entire thing is one equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The only way it can be a circle equation is if it's in the form of Ax^2 + By^2 = C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the exact question?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

At least it must be an equation with an equal sign and something on the right side of the equal sign.

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

do you know how to complete the square? if so, here do it twice: from \(x^2 +y^2+4x-2y-20\), do it for the \(x^2 +4x\) and \(y^2-2y\) parts and keep a close eye on the remaining numbers you can the do the graph in one go using a compass
