Factor 12m^2n^3+18m^3n^2 The answer is 6m^2n^3(2n+3m) but I do not know how to get there.

Nnesha (nnesha):

GCF( greatest common factor ) variable with the lowest degree is common factor what is common number in both terms ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you for your reply! It becomes (6m^2n^2)(2n)+(6m^2n^2)(3m) if I factor out the common variable between both terms?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yeah that's right

Nnesha (nnesha):

now as you can see (6m^2n2) is common in both sides of plus sign so take it out :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why can i take it out if it is common on both sides?

Nnesha (nnesha):

that's what we have to do FACTOR!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you! :)

Nnesha (nnesha):
