Is the verb in the sentence in the active voice or the passive voice? This race car is driven by a sixteen-year-old boy. A. passive voice B. active voice could someone help me understand the difference XD its too subtle for me

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Active voice is more...rather active than passive voice. XD I know that won't clear it up, so I'll give you an example of a sentence in both passive and active voice. Passive: The flowers were given to Lokid by Doodle Active: Doodle gave the flowers to Lokid Does that make sense?

sorta

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im guessing the answer is active but im not sure

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Well it's actually passive. The active form would be "A sixteen-year-old boy drove this race car."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or no, the way you put it is passive right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you help with a couple more?

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

I would but I have to go now. Perhaps some other time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, thank you sooooooooooooo much =D
