romantic period - freedom of thinking and expression; nature was embraced; just think of a period of time in which freedom of expression and methods of expression was encouraged victorian era - i believe this is where sensibility, peace, prosperity and confidence were encouraged and practiced. culture was a big presence. language and morals were regarded highly modern era - you may have to specify a bit more, but if it is what i think you are referring to, then this is when times are changing. social norms come more into play, and there's an abundance of eccentricities and new changes are embraced as well as shunned hope this helps a bit :)
