Could someone please help me work out a couple of math questions?

Jemma wants to solve the following system using the elimination method: y = x − 6 y = 6x − 19

Since there is only 1 y in each equation, subtract one from the other. You can leave the equations written as is, or you can reorder it with y = 6x - 19 on top. (It's your preference.) Then the Y's will be eliminated and you can solve for x. If you write out your work. I'll help you through it.

So i start with y=6x-19 y-x=6

Close. (y = 6x - 19) -(y= x - 6)
